Stop Scammers From Sending Email as Your Business

Shield surrounded by security icons, for protection from fake websites

Anyone can send an email that says it's from your business. Unless your web address is set up to block it, many email services will deliver the fake straight to your customer's inbox: a fake invoice, a request to change your bank details, a link to a fake login page. To your customer, it looks like it came from you.

I set up your web address so email services can tell your real email from the fakes and reject the fakes, without breaking the email you really send. It's all done remotely, so it works wherever your business is.

Your real email keeps working · Done remotely, anywhere in the country · Based in Hartford, WI

Signs You Need This

Customers got emails “from you” that you didn't send

Fake invoices, payment requests or password emails with your business name and email address on them.

Your own email lands in spam

Email services trust your mail more when your web address shows which services are allowed to send for you.

You send email from more than one place

Your office email plus a newsletter tool, invoicing software or your website's contact form. Each one has to be set up, or it can get treated like a fake.

Nobody has ever checked

Many small business web addresses were set up years ago, before email services started checking. If no one has looked, it's worth a check.

What You Get

A list of everything that sends email as you

Your office email, newsletters, invoicing, your website's forms. Nothing gets left out by accident.

Your web address set up to prove your real email

I add the settings that list which services may send as you, and turn on the digital signature each of those services offers.

A careful switch to blocking

At first, email services only report what they see. Once the reports show your real email passing, I tell them to reject the fakes.

A follow-up check

A few weeks later I look at the reports again to make sure nothing real is being blocked.

A plain-words summary

What I changed, where, and what to tell whoever sets up your next email tool.

How It Works

1. A Short Call

You tell me what you use for email and anything else that sends email for you.

2. Access to Your Web Address Settings

I change settings where your web address is managed, usually the company you bought it from, like GoDaddy or Wix. You can give me temporary access, or we can do it together on a shared screen.

3. Setup

I add the settings and turn on reporting. Your email keeps working the whole time.

4. The Switch

After a few weeks of reports, I turn on blocking and do the follow-up check.

Why Work With Me

I go after scammers every day: more than 8,000 scam websites I've reported have gone offline. See my live takedown numbers ›

Your real email comes first. Nothing gets switched to blocking until the reports show your own email passing.

I also build websites and set up business email, so I know how web addresses, hosting and email fit together.

One person you can call, based in Hartford, Wisconsin. All of this is done remotely, so it doesn't matter where your business is.

Questions About Email Spoofing

What does it cost?

A flat fee per web address, with the follow-up check included. See current prices ›

Will this break my email?

Not if it's done in steps, which is the point of the reporting period. If something real fails a check, I fix its settings before anything gets blocked.

Does this stop every scam email?

No. It stops fakes that use your exact web address. Scammers also register look-alike addresses, one letter off from yours. For those, see Fake Website Watch & Takedown ›

Do I need to be near Hartford?

No. Everything is done remotely, by phone, email and a shared screen if needed.

Who is this for?

Any business, credit union or nonprofit that sends email from its own web address (like you@yourbusiness.com, not a Gmail or Yahoo address).

How fast will I hear from you?

I answer during my business hours: Monday to Friday 7am to 8pm, Saturday 9am to 8pm, Sunday 11am to 7pm, Central time.
