Hi, I'm Jay Maier
I started Rising Sun Solutions in 2013 after watching too many neighbors get overcharged and underserved by big-name tech companies. I've lived in the Hartford area since 2009 and have spent 30+ years fixing computers, networks and printers.
I work out of my home shop on Galway Road in Hartford, and people drop off their computers there all the time. These days a lot of my work is cleaning up after scams, and I track down and report scam websites so fewer people get hit. Whether it's a slow laptop, a new phone or your first website, I'll explain it in plain English and won't sell you anything you don't need. I carry business liability insurance.

With over 30 years of hands-on experience helping hundreds of people with computers, networks, and technology, I bring expertise that's hard to find locally. In recent years I've expanded into AI training and scam recovery assistance — two of the fastest growing needs I'm hearing from people right in my community. Whether it's a slow computer, a suspicious email, or learning how to use the latest AI tools, I'm here to help — personally and locally.
